Friday, January 27th, 2012

According to the Gazette, a man is being sought by the Colorado Springs police for robbing a Game Stop store on Space Center Drive. At about 9:00, a man who appeared to be in his twenties entered the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded money from the store’s employee. He then fled with the money. No one was injured during the robbery.

Have you been charged with a crime?  Speak with an aggressive, dedicated Colorado Springs criminal defense attorney today to discuss your options.

The Gazette is unable to report many details about the robber, so we don’t know very much about him, which points to one of the primary reasons for the presumption of innocence that all people charged with crimes in America are Constitutionally guaranteed. Particularly in a case such as this, where the person who committed the crime fled the scene, it is important to remember that the police may make a mistake and arrest the wrong person. No matter how hard the police work to protect us, it is a fact that people are sometimes charged with crimes that they did not commit. This is part of why hiring an experienced, dedicated Colorado Springs criminal defense attorney is so important if you have been charged with a crime. An experienced attorney knows how to work with the facts of the case to show that you may not have been the person who committed the crime, that the police may have made an honest mistake in your case. In a case such as this one, in which the charge may be much more serious because of the use of a gun, the value of a good attorney can not be underestimated.

If you have been charged with any crime in Colorado, or if you believe that you are going to be charged, it is imperative that you speak with an attorney, before you give any statement to the police.
